I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of Sociology at Brown University where I study inequality and the social welfare state. My work has been published in Social Problems and by Vanderbilt Press. I have received funding from the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and multiple internal grants and fellowships through Brown University.

Outside of academia, I keep busy with running, biking, gardening, and volunteering for climate change advocacy. When I have a spare evening, I am a big fan of fiction. Currently, I am reading β€œThe Friend,” by Sigrid Nunez.
